Editorial Intern $18 per hour

Food Bank of South Jersey is looking for freelance Editorial Intern. The Editorial Intern is responsible for writing press releases and newsletter articles for the Food Bank of South Jersey. This is an excellent position for a person wishing to gain experience in a stimulating, non-profit, environment. The Editorial Intern reports to the Senior Manager of Brand Content and Marketing.

Duties

  • Write and edit program content for newsletters and FBSJ website
  • Proofread all materials before and after publishing
  • Maintain organized files for document tracking
  • Assist with various production needs for print and video media
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications


 

  • The ideal candidate should have experience in editing, publishing, writing and working with online media.
  • Applicants should be excellent writers, attentive to detail, and familiar with Internet research, blogs, and social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.
  • A strong editorial sense is a must.
  • Applicants should be comfortable working independently on projects and have very strong organization skills.

Duration and Compensation
The Editorial Internship is a twelve-week, paid position. The intern works the equivalent of two days per week (16 hours) for the duration of the internship.

This position pays $18/hour.
