Freelance Sales Executive

Apex is looking to hire freelance sales executive. The Sales Executive is responsible for selling Content Solutions services to corporations and the publishing markets. The successful candidate will have experience selling services with a consultative approach, and be equally adept at prospecting, negotiating and closing sales over $1-5M. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a quick learner, and possess a strong focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, and familiarity with the publishing market, XML, and metadata models is a plus.

Travel is needed, up to 75% at times

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust understanding of mobile solutions for corporate and publisher content; issues faced in these markets, and new ways for Apex to address them
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects
  • Develop proposals and prepare price quotations
  • Engage in contract negotiations
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records within our CRM system (salesforce.com)
  • Meet or exceed revenue objectives

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience selling services with a consultative approach
  • Knowledge of one or more segments of the publishing market
  • Able to quickly grasp technical concepts
  • An understanding of basic web and content technology (HTML, JAVA, XML, etc…)
