Hardwood Lumber Sales – Asian Markets

Well established veneer and lumber company has an immediate need for a Domestic West Coast and Export Asia Hardwood Lumber Sales Representative.  This is a work from home position. The candidate should have a proven track record in domestic and international hardwood lumber sales.
• Identify and develop new and emerging domestic and international hardwood lumber markets, with a focus in the western US and Asia.
• Manage and promote hardwood lumber sales by either direct means with the manufacturers, and/or the use of brokerage firms.
• Uphold company standards in regard to pricing, economic returns, shipping and transportation costs, quality control and safety.
• Initiate and maintain close contact with lumber production operations to ensure accurate and timely production of hardwood lumber to customers.
• 3-5 years Hardwood Lumber Sales experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills including written, verbal and computer
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Bi-lingual and a working knowledge of Asian markets is a plus.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.  You can work from a home office if near a major airport. You do NOT need to live in Portland, Oregon but any major western US city can be considered.
