Home-based Quality Assurance Specialist

Connections Academy is looking for home-based Quality Assurance Specialist who will have accountability and responsibility for blended learning compliance at Nexus schools as well as overall operational project management. Primary duties include supporting school principals in successful and timely audits, charter compliance, state reporting and systems creation to monitor. Additionally, the specialist will lead and oversee project management, including new school launches.


  • Support Nexus principals with compliance needs and deadlines for each school
  • Create and monitor a reporting needs system of state and federal compliance for each Nexus school;
  • Assist schools with audits and facilitate a reporting mechanism for Nexus leadership;
  • Manage relationships with corporate stakeholders in the areas of State Relations, Compliance, and School Business Services;
  • Build start-up processes and checklists for Nexus Schools and assist with new Nexus Academy schools and blended learning program start up;
  • Assist with writing and maintaining Nexus Operations Manual;
  • Collaborate with Education Quality Department and assist with reviewing and contributing to school Handbooks;


  • 5+ years in educational programs or related disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Travel to Nexus schools as needed
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility in schedule is required to meet seasonal goals and deadlines
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment where skills are challenged
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with different people across a team effectively
  • Strong work ethic, ability to develop positive work atmosphere and relationships
  • Experience using MS Office Suite and ability to learn and use new software products
