A leading Online Media Company, in NY is seeking a creative video editor to join our team.

The Editor/ Producer will be responsible for editing video created by our internal team and freelance producers. This editing will mostly be from singlecamera shoots but will also include multi-camera and the occasional “narrative” video. 4+ years of editing experience is required. Knowledge of shooting, lighting, directing, and storyboarding will be considered a plus. Some design experience is necessary, particularly very simple animations particularly in Motion or similar.

In addition to the technical editing skills, the Editor/ Producer will be charged with organizing the current video library, liaison with clients about the final product, optimize video for SEO, assist in marketing of both the finished video and video services and assist in shoot logistics (i.e. scheduling, location, travel, crew etc.).

Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Apple Motion and/or Adobe After Effects. Knowledge and/or possession of DSLR camera equipment a plus.

The position will begin as a part-time contractor but could easily grow into fulltime employment if the fit is perfect. Candidate does not have to be located in New York nor consider relocating.
