Senior Writer/Editor for Ad-Hoc College-Level Writing Assignments

International Skill Verification Services (ISVS) is looking for senior writer/editor. This is a work from home position. The candidate will work Work with senior management to develop requirements and style rules for daily general interest articles and related test questions to be used for ISVS’s ad-hoc writing assignments. Research and write short articles (~ 500 words) and draft questions to be used for the daily writing assignments. Assist with hiring and management of other freelance article/question writers. Assist senior management in continually improving ad-hoc writing assignment rules, processes and procedures.

  • At least Five (5) years of professional academic or general interest writing or journalism experience.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a respected traditional US university, though we are especially interested in those with advanced degrees and college-level teaching experience.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and online research skills.
  • Excellent self-management skills and ability to meet frequent deadlines.
  • Editing experience a must. Writer supervision experience a big plus.
  • Experience crafting writing prompts and questions in a university setting a big plus.

Compensation: $20 per hour

Time Commitment: Approximately 15-20 hours per week. Entire research, writing and question development process should take approximately 150 minutes per article.
