Social Media Expert

SocialNewsDesk is looking for a social media expert to help newsrooms engage viewers and distribute content and who will help our 600+ news clients use our tools to better promote their content through social media.

You will work with their clients to improve their visibility and engagement through Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms. You will also provide support to our clients who need assistance while using our software toolset.

They are looking for someone who has demonstrated great social media savvy with news or a commercial brand. Candidates should have created and executed effective social media campaigns and achieved measurable results. Experience in the news industry is a plus but not a requirement.

They are based in Orlando, Florida and Gainesville, Florida, but they are open to full-time candidates anywhere in the U.S. who can work from home.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing
  • Deep understanding of all social media platforms
  • Experience with popular social posting and monitoring tools
  • Mastery of planning, executing and measuring social media campaigns
  • Adept at writing engaging content for social channels
  • Outgoing personality with a customer service focus
  • Ability to periodically travel to clients and conferences around the U.S.
  • Availability to help clients as they need it (including evenings and occasionally weekends)
  • Experience in the news industry is a plus
