Work From Home Medical Coding Online Faculty

Weston Distance Learning is currently seeking a certified Medical Coder for teaching to join their work from home team. As an online instructor you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home using their online learning platform.


  • Review and manage the online course content suggesting changes where needed.
  • Facilitate meaningful student discussions while participating and moderating discussion posts to ensure topic is thoroughly explored and processed by the students.
  • Model effective oral and written communications that engage students.
  • Provide timely feedback and clarity resulting in deeper student learning and enhanced critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the grading of exams and quizzes.
  • Set clear objectives and expectations for students by posting a syllabus with course guidelines, assigned readings, assignment due dates and exam schedules.


  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in the field to be taught and demonstrated expertise in the subject field of the Associate’s Degree discipline (Graduate degree preferred). At least 2 years full-time work experience or 5 years part-time work experience in the area to be taught is required.
  • Candidates must hold a degree earned from an institution accredited by an agency that is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or, for non-U.S. institutions, an accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities (18th ed.)
  • General Education Faculty Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the assigned subject field or have a Baccalaureate degree, and at least 18 semester hours of Master’s program in the subject field.
